I actually really appreciate this about Midna. 

I mean, when I first played I thought she was being a sarcastic little punk…but you have to remember she’s from the Twilight Realm. so she’s actually just admiring the weather. At this point she doesn’t really appreciate the Light Realm and it’s something that is foreign and painful for her. Remember how awful it was for her to come in contact with Laynaru? yeah. 

So for Midna, this is a moment to be able to appreciate looking out over Hyrule for the first time without having to hide in the shadows and be hurt by the light. She’s appreciating a little bit of freedom in this moment, and I really like that.
